Ship Orders Manually
Overview of AR19
Ship Orders Manually is intended to be used when orders are shipped outside of the Neopost system, such as via Federal Express or when customers pick up orders in person. Only picked orders can be shipped. Orders that have already been shipped can be re-shipped (if the original shipment was lost, for example.) using Ship Orders Manually, but the user receives a warning after entering the order number.
- From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Order Entry
- Double-click Ship Orders Manually. You will see this screen:
NOTE: This item can also be found under the Inventory menu, beneath Shipping
In order to begin the process, you must enter a Ship area and the order #. First, type the ship area code or click the list icon to select from a list of active Ship area codes in the system. Next, enter the order # that you wish to ship. Press Enter. The order information will appear on the screen:
The following fields are available on this screen:

Number of packages | Enter the total number of packages to be shipped for this order | ||||||||
Package Detail | Click into the Package Detail area of the screen. A line will appear for each package you specified in the number of packages field. For each line, there are three fields:
Enter the information for each package to be shipped | ||||||||
Carrier | Enter the carrier code or click the list icon to select from a list of active carriers in the system | ||||||||
Service | Enter the service code or click the list icon to select form a list of active carrier service codes in the system | ||||||||
Freight charges | Enter the charges for the package | ||||||||
Ins. charges | If applicable, enter the insurance charges | ||||||||
Total charges | The system will automatically total the freight + insurance charges to display the total charges | ||||||||
Manifest # | If applicable, enter the manifest # here |
When you have finished entering the information, click Save to retain the changes.
