Investment Note for an Old Investment Appeared in a Recent Merge Batch

When we ran il227 Print Investment Notes, we noticed that a confirmation notice for an investment purchased last year was included in this batch. Why would that happen?

There are a few transactions that will cause an investment note to generate for an existing investment. They are:

• Someone ran the Issue Duplicate Note process for the investment
• The investment was transferred to a new investment as the result of either of these transactions:
  • Re-Register All Tax
  • Investment Transfer

If you review the transaction history for an investment and see any of these transaction IDs:

• 010 = dup batch
• 011 = dup online
• 031 = all tax to (i.e. transfer)
• 110 = create

They are the activities that caused the confirmation notice to generate.
