What is the difference between the Business Date and the Process Date in DDI Connect?

The Business Date indicates the date that receipts and activities took place in your organization, whereas the Process Date is the date that the transactions were processed.

For example, your organization might perform a "close of business date" at 2 pm each day, so that the daily processing can occur. Items entered prior to that time are logged as happening "today", whereas items logged after daily processing are credited to tomorrow's business date, since certain financial transactions cannot be logged in the system while daily processing is going on.

In most organizations, the very first job that runs as part of daily processing is that the Business Date is changed. The system then runs all of the applicable jobs for the day. The last job that runs changes the Process Date.
