Change Business Date
Overview of DDI56
The Business Date is traditionally automatically changed as part of the periodic job processing process. However, if your organization does not utilize job processing, you may have to manually adjust the business date. In order to complete this process, you must have system administrator permissions.
- From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Processing Monitoring
- Double-click Change Business Date. If your organization utilizes the Investment/Loan system, you will see this prompt:
Click Yes. This will prevent any financial transactions from being entered while you are changing the business date. You will now see this screen:
At the top of the screen, you will see the current and new business dates:
If you wish to adjust the new business date beyond the default that is displayed, you can do so by clicking the up or down arrows next to the date.
The "Restrict new business date to work days" is checked by default. You can uncheck that box if your organization intends to work over the weekend and you wish to utilize the days as business dates.
In the Verification date field, type the new business date. This confirms that the New business date above is correct. If the dates do not match, the system will not change the date. You must type it in mm/dd/yyyy format.
In the bottom area of the screen, the system will display any users that are signed in to applications in the system:
If any users are logged in, you have the option of right clicking their name and sending them a message. It is critical that you verify that no users are updating records when you change the business date, as it could cause issues with the history of those records.
Once you have verified that no users are logged in, check the New business date and Verification date to make sure they are correct, and click Apply. You will be prompted with this message:
Click Yes. You will see the next message:
Click OK. The business date will now be changed.
