This address is used by a bulk mail record and cannot be unlinked

We are trying to remove the church address for a constituent that is no longer linked to a church. When we try to delete the address, we are getting this error "This address is used by a bulk mail record and cannot be unlinked". How do we fix?

This error means that the constituent is set up on a mailing list that is configured to use the church address. To correct this issue:

• Bring up the constituent record in Name/Address Inquiry
• Click the Relationships tab
• Click the Affiliations button on the toolbar. The affiliations screen will launch:

Change the setting so that the home address (or any address other than the church address) is selected, and save your changes. You can now remove the church address from the record.
