Overview of IL289

The Investment Statements program replicates il267 Generate Investment Statements functionality but creates investment merge data in a way to take advantage of nested data in the more contemporary mailmerge webservice. Allows investment statements to be produced that rollup investments based on constituent pin rather than just account master. Thus one investor will see all their investments across multiple account master accounts in one single statement.


The Generate Investment Statements report produces a listing of transaction details for the date range you specify in the report parameters. The report output includes information such as investment number, tax ID and name of investor, and deposits, withdrawals, interest, penalties and balance of investment.

Report Criteria

Field Description
Date Range Enter the beginning and ending dates of the range you wish to search on. You can type the date in mm/dd/yyyy format or click the calendar icon to select the date
Sort mode Click the drop down arrow to select the method you wish to use for sorting the statements. Your options are: account, tax ID or ZIP code
Account To generate a statement for a particular account, type the account number here or click the Search icon to launch Name/Address Inquiry
Constituent To generate a statement for a particular constituent, type the account number here or click the Search icon to launch Name/Address Inquiry
Investments If you wish to generate statements for one or more specific investments, type the investment number(s), separated by commas or click the list icon to select from a list of investments in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all investments that meet the other parameters you enter
Include Categories If you wish to report only on one or more categories, you can do so here. Type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active investment categories in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all investments that meet the other parameters you enter
Exclude Categories If you wish to exclude one or more categories, you can do so here. Type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active investment categories in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all investments that meet the other parameters you enter
Include Investment Types If you wish to report only on one or more investment types, you can do so here. Type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active investment types in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all investments that meet the other parameters you enter
Exclude Investment Types If you wish to exclude one or more investment types, you can do so here. Type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active investment types in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all investments that meet the other parameters you enter
Exclude Transactions If you wish to exclude one or more transaction types, you can do so here. Type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active transaction IDs in the system in the system. Leave this field blank to report against all transactions that meet the other parameters you enter
Statement format There are two formats to select from: "Name/Account/Investment" or "Investment (one per statement)". These forms were designed specifically for your organization. Please contact DDI Support if you would like to change from one format to another.
Include interest rate changes If selected, the system will include investment rate changes on the statements
Include IRA accounts If selected, the system will include IRA accounts in the statement output
Include demand investments If selected, the statements will include demand investments
Include Accrued Interest If selected, the statements will include accrued interest
Corrected statement If selected, the system will place "Corrected Statement" on the merge documents
Capitalize address If selected, the name/address block on the statements will be displayed in all capital letters. If not selected, the name/address block will be displayed in normal capital/noncapital font
Generate Statements If selected, the system will generate the merge files. If not selected, only the report will be generated
Exclude closed investments If selected, closed investments will not appear on report even if there is activity for the investment during the nominated period
Display taxid in secure format You have the option of displaying a secure taxid with just the last four digits shown
Form Code Type the form code or click the list icon to select from a list of active form codes within the system
Correspondence Method Click the list icon to select the method desired to create the notices. Your options are:

Based on user-provided report criteria

Print Options

After clicking the Print Options button you will see the following options. Choose the desired options and click OK to return to the report parameters screen.

Option Description
Printer Click the drop down arrow to select from a list of available printers. DDI Connect uses your default printer unless told otherwise
Format Click the drop down arrow to select from a list of available formats. Select paper size, number of columns, and number of rows for printing. Each report has built-in format defaults. Select “Use Defaults” to use the built-in report defaults. The number of rows and columns controls the print size and amount of information per page
Memo If you wish, you can add a memo to the output of the report. NOTE: It is recommended that Word documents be saved with the .docx extension
View Report This option generates a pdf file that is displayed on the screen when the report is generated
Archive Report If this option is selected, the system will archive the report in the DDI Connect report archives. For information on working with archived reports, please reference this page: Archived Report Viewer
Print Report If selected, the system will generate the report output to your default printer. NOTE: You will also receive a pdf version of the report, displayed on your screen
Print via PDF Prints directly to your printer.
Email This option allows you to send a .pdf attachment of the report to the indicated users' email addresses. When OK is clicked, a dialog box will open requesting a recipient
Duplex/Top Prints the report on both sides of the paper in landscape style. The printer must be capable of printing on both sides or an error will occur
Duplex/Side Prints the report on both sides of the paper in portrait style. The printer must be capable of printing on both sides or an error will occur
Green bar Adds shaded, horizontal bars to the report, making it easier to read across columns
No dialog Selecting this option means that no ‘Report Completed’ dialog will display after the report has been generated
Extra copies If you want extra copies of the report generated, type the number in this field
