Overview of NA08
County Maintenance enables your organization to set up and maintain information about individual counties on a state-by-state basis. State information is configured in State Maintenance. To add a new county:
- From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Name/Address System
- Double-click Setup
- Double-click County Maintenance. You will see this screen:
First, select the state you wish to work with by clicking the drop down arrow and selecting the state. Then, click the Add button. You will see this screen:
You have the following fields available to you:
Field | Description |
---|---|
County name | Enter the new county name |
County code | Enter the county code |
FIPS | This stands for Federal Information Processing Standards Codes. Enter the code for this county |
Income | This is the average income for this county, as reported to the Census Bureau |
Population | The last reported population for this county, based on the Census Bureau report |
Population % change | This is the % of population fluctuation between the current census and the previous census |
Population/sq mile | This is the population per square mile, as reported by the Census Bureau |

When you have finished adding the information for the county, click Save.
