Overview of CW09/CW09VIEW

The View Wires screen allows you to view wires based on various parameters.


  • From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click CheckWriter
  • Double-click View Wires. You will see this screen:

You must select a checking account in order to see any wires. Click the drop down arrow to select from a list of checking accounts in the system. You can further refine the search results by selecting which EFTs you wish to view, as well as the EFT format.


Once you have selected your criteria, the screen will appear as such:

Finding a Wire

To find a specific wire, click the Find button on the toolbar. The Find Wires popup will appear:

Enter at least one search criteria, then click Find Next. The system will display the first matching result:

Click Find Next until you locate the wire you wish to view.


Viewing a Wire

To review a specific wire, you can double-click it or click it once to highlight and then click the View button:

There are several tabs on this screen, as well as some other functions.


View Payee

If you click the View Payee button, it will launch you into the Vendor or Constituent viewer. When you have finished viewing the information, click Exit to return to the View Wires screen.


Status Tab

The Status tab appears as such:

This screen displays details about the wire. You can also add a memo, if desired, by clicking the Edit button to the right of the memo field:

The Status tab also lets you drill down into the GL activity for the checking and credit GL accounts:

To view the GL activity, click the link to the account you wish to view. This will launch the GL Account Viewer:

When you have finished viewing the activity, click Exit to return to the View Wires screen.


Sources Tab

When you click the Sources tab, you will see this screen:

This screen details the information related to the invoice and source of the EFT.


Edit Lines

If you click the Edit lines button, you will see this screen:

This allows you to edit the lines that appear on the check stub. Click into a box to modify the information. Click Save when you are finished.


View Source

If you click View Source, the system will launch the transaction that resulted in the wire being created. This could be a voucher, an interest payment for an investment, a credit memo for a transaction, or any number of other transactions in the system. When you have finished viewing the source, click Exit to return to the View Wires screen.


Details Tab

When you click the Details tab, you will see a screen similar to this one:

This screen shows information regarding the wire transaction, including the date, account, wire number, payee, and GL account.


Changing EFT Format

If you need to change a wire from ACH to Swift or vice versa, the system allows you to do so. From the View EFTs screen, click the wire that you need to change, then click the EFT Format button on the toolbar. The following box will appear:

Select the format you are changing TO and click Select. The wire format will now change:

Voiding a Wire

To void a wire, click the wire and then click the Void button on the toolbar:

The screen will prompt you with this message:

If you wish to proceed, click Yes. The system will prompt you with an additional message, based on the source of the wire. For example, you might see:

If you wish to cancel, click Yes. Otherwise, click No. The wire will now be voided.
