What do the different salutation options mean when it comes to extracts and reports?
How the system handles salutations is based on the selection you make for the Salutation options field. Your options are:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Formal preferred | This option will give preference to formal salutations. However, if the constituent or account has indicated that their preference is an informal salutation, the system will not override that. So, your output file could have a mixture of formal and informal salutations |
| Informal preferred | This option will give preference to informal salutations. However, if the constituent or account has indicated that their preference is a formal salutation, the system will not override that. So, your output file could have a mixture of formal and informal salutations |
| Formal always | This option will override constituent/account preferences and generate a formal salutation for all records |
| Informal always | This option will override constituent/account preferences and generate an informal salutation for all records |
