How do I do a print screen?
When reporting an issue to DDI Client Support, or requesting changes, it is extremely helpful if you can provide us with a screenshot of what you are seeing. While the terminology is "screen print" or "print screen", what you are actually doing is taking a picture of the screen. To perform a screenshot:
- First, make sure that the screen you wish to capture is the active one on your screen. You can do this by clicking anywhere on the screen
- On your keyboard, hold down the ALT key (there are usually 2 of these on your keyboard, on either side) and press the PrtSc key:
This will take a picture of what is on your screen.
- Next, open up a word document or even just an email message
- Press the CTRL key on your keyboard, and then the V key. Or, click Edit on the toolbar in the document and select Paste. This will paste the picture into the document
