Overview of NA71INQ

The Memo Search utility allows you to search for and view memos associated with constituent records.


  • From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Name/Address System
  • Double-click Memo Search. You will see this screen:

At the top of the screen are the fields that you can use to refine your search. The following options are available:


Field Description
Entry dt/to To search by memo entry date, enter the beginning and ending dates for the range you wish to search. You can type the dates in mm/dd/yyyy format or click the calendar icons to select the date
Memo codes To search for specific memo codes, type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active memo codes in the system
Origination Origination is a required field, and tells the system what module the memo was entered in. For example, FR/EV would mean Connect-FR/Events, or NA/NA would mean Name/Address. Click the list to select from a list of available origination modules
Amt value/to If the memo codes you are seeking contain amount values, you can search the value(s) here. Type the beginning and ending amounts to search by amount value
Category To search by memo category, type the code or codes, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active memo categories in the system
Date value/to If the memo codes you are seeking contain date values, you can search the value(s) here. Type the beginning and ending dates in mm/dd/yyyy format or click the calendar icons to select the dates
Entered by If you wish to search based on the individual who entered the memos, you can do so here. Type the user IDs, separated by commas, or click the list icon to select from a list of active users in the system
Memo text You can search for specific memo text here. You can type a word or part of a word followed by an * to search. You can also search by multiple terms by separating them by commas. For example: test,repo would find all memos with either test or repo in the memo text. Tes* would locate any with words beginning with "Tes"
Include deleted memos If selected, the system will search deleted as well as active memos
File name You can search for specific memo attachment file names here. You can type a word or part of a word followed by an * to search. You can also search by multiple terms by separating them by commas. For example: test,repo would find all files with either test or repo in the name. Tes* would locate any with words beginning with "Tes"
File description You can search for specific file descriptions here. You can type a word or part of a word followed by an * to search. You can also search by multiple terms by separating them by commas. For example: test,repo would find all file descriptions with either test or repo in the name. Tes* would locate any with words beginning with "Tes"


When you have entered your search parameters, click Search. The results will display as such:

To view a memo, you can either double-click it or click it once to highlight and then click the View button:

If you wish to view a spreadsheet with the memo details, you can right click on any column header and select "Display in Spreadsheet":

To begin a new search, click the Clear button. This will reset all fields, and allow you to enter the new search parameters.
