Investment Type Not Available for Purchase

I added a new investment type, but when I try to process an investment purchase, the new type isn't showing as available. Why not?

The most likely cause is that the State Registration has not been performed for the investment type. The first thing to look at is the registration's start and end date information:

You'll want to check the start and end date for both the registration and all categories beneath it. The usual cause is that one or more have the incorrect start or end date.

This can also happen if your organization updates the state registration annually. If you roll to a new year and do not create state registrations for the year, investment types will not be available for purchase until you perform those updates.
