Overview of Internal Transfers
Internal transfers allows you to transfer funds from an Investment to a Loan, Gift, or Health Policy account without affecting the cash or bank GL.
- From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Name/Address System
- Double-click Setup
- Double-click Codes Maintenance
- Double-click Code #531
Setup Instructions:
STEP 1: Update the codes to match your organization’s requirements:
Field | Description |

FRBODY | Gift related email body. Modify the email body in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
FRFROM | Gift related email sender. Modify the email address in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
FRLABEL | Investment to Gift Transfer Label This is the label that will appear in the investment payout screen. |
FRRCPT | Gift Cash Receipt System. |
FRSUBJ | Gift related email subject Modify the email subject in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
FRTO | Gift related email subject. Modify the email address in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
HPBODY | Health policy related email body. Modify the body of the email in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
HPFROM | Health policy related email sender. Modify the body of the email address in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |

LNBODY | Loan related email body. Modify the body of the email in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
LNFROM | Loan related email sender. Modify the body of the email address in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
LNLABEL | Investment to Loan Transfer Label. This is the label that will appear in the investment payout screen. |
LNSUBJ | Loan related email subject. Modify the email body in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
LNTO | Loan related email recipient . Modify the email address in the Text Value 1 field if needed. Uncheck the “Active” flag if your organization will not use this transfer option. |
STEP 2: Setup a default suspense GL account. Go to Financial Services - Data Processing - Financial Services Administration - Cash Suspense Accounts. This will be the wash GL that the internal transfer uses instead of the cash GL account.
How to Process Internal Transfers:
STEP 1: 1. Go to Financial Services - Investments - Transactions - 200 Investment Payout. Choose the payment method (Internal Transfer to Loan, etc.) and enter the amount of the transfer.
- a. Once the transaction is complete, a mailroom cash batch will be created and an email will be sent to the email address setup in code series #531.
STEP 2: Process you the other side of the transfer. Go to Financial Services - Data Processing - Payment Processing. Find the batch and process.
- a. This is a mailroom batch. This means the person that does the transfer in step #1 cannot do Step #2.
