Interest Shouldn't Have Been Withheld on a Distribution

We performed a withdrawal on an IRA investment. There was interest withheld that should not have been. How can we correct in the system, without affecting the distribution?

What you will do is perform a Financial Adjustment. Remove the interest amount from the Interest Withheld field. The system will prompt you for the code for the type of adjustment...select the appropriate type and save the adjustment. This will correct the entries in the system.
