We want to implement security challenge questions and answers for our clients who call in wanting to discuss their online account information. How can we do that in the system?

The easiest way to track security challenge information is to add a new contact information type. DDI recommends the following steps:

  • Add a new contact info type
    • Category should be "Other"
    • Screen label should be "Security"
    • Description should be Security Question/Answer (or other description)

Once you have created the new contact info type, you can now add the information to a constituent's records:

  • From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Name/Address System
  • Double-click Name/Address Inquiry
  • Look up the constituent you wish to work with
  • From the Name/Address record, click Edit to enable the contact information:

Click the drop down arrow next to Type and select the new Security type you set up

In the Contact Information field, type the security challenge. For example: "What is your mother's maiden name?"

In the Comment field, type the answer. For example: "Anderson". Your screen should now look something like this:

Click Save. The screen will now look something like this:

You can add multiple security challenges to one record, if you wish to require more than one security challenge for each constituent.
