Error Calculating Interest

I am trying to perform an investment/loan transaction, and am getting an error "Error Calculating Interest". How do I fix?

Loan Transaction

If you are getting this error on a loan transaction, it means that the interest was not posted properly when IL602 Loan Month End Interest Posting was last run. Loan Interest must be posted at the end of each month in order for the system to properly calculate the interest when performing transactions such as loan payments, loan advances, etc. If your organization has already processed month end and your business date has advanced to the next month, you will have to contact DDI Client Support for assistance in correcting this error.

Investment Transaction

The only time you will see this error is if the last interest posted date for the investment is not in the current year. Investment interest will continue to accrue until it is posted to the investment; if IL230 Month End Accrued Interest Processing has not been run - even for several months - the system will post the interest when a transaction is posted. However, if the interest has not been posted since the last fiscal year, you will see an error. If that is the case, you will need to contact DDI Client Support for assistance.
