Why Can't I Change Investment Numbers?

When you purchase an investment within the DDI-Connect system, it generates General Ledger and other transactions. Each of those transactions is linked to the investment number within the system. Due to the number of transactions that are generated and the need to link them to a specific investment number, the system does not allow you to change an investment number once it has been created.
