Change Interest Rate on an Investment

We are trying to change the interest rate on an investment, but the interest rate field won't let us edit. How do we change this?

If you are trying to perform Investment Maintenance and the Interest rate field is not active for editing, it means that the investment belongs to an investment type with tiered interest rates. Make note of the investment type, and navigate to Type and Rate Maintenance. Click the investment type and review two things:

• Click the Tier info button on the toolbar. This will launch the Investment Tiered Rate Maintenance screen. If the investment type has tiers, you will not be able to manually modify the interest rate, unless you modify it on this screen

• If there are no tiers present, look at the Note type field on the Type and Rate Maintenance screen. If a "T" is present in this field, it is telling the system that this investment type is tiered. If the investment type is not tiered, modifying this field will allow you to modify the investment's interest rate
