Setting up Loan Fee Type Maintenance (IL446)
Loan Fee Types are fees that are applicable in the system based on the type of Loan. They must be set up in order to assess Loan Fees.
To access the loan fee type maintenance settings screen:
- Double-click Financial Services
- Double-click Loan
- Double-click Setup
- Double-click Loan Fee Type Maintenance. You will see this screen:
From the Loan type dropdown, select the type of Loan that you are adding a fee type for or leave it as "Default" to allow a fee type to be associated with all Loans.
Adding a New Loan Fee Type
To add a new Loan Fee Type, follow these steps:
1. Select the appropriate Loan Type from the dropdown:
2. Click "New":
The following fields become available:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Fee Code | Enter the Fee code or click the list icon to select from a list of available loan fee codes in the system |
Description | Enter in a Description of the Loan Fee Type |
Credit GL | Enter the Fee Credit GL or click the list icon to select from a list of available G/L Accounts in the system |
Render method | Select whether the Loan Fee Type is Inactive, Active, or Active with default fees |
Default fee method | Select whether the fee is based on Amount of Percentage of commitment. This selection will determine the fee setting below. |
Fee percentage/Fee amount | Enter in the percentage or amount, dependent on the selection above |
Click Save
Editing a Loan Fee Type
To edit a Loan Fee Type, follow these steps:
1. Select the appropriate Loan Type from the dropdown
2. Highlight the Fee Code you would like to edit
3. Click "Edit":
4. Apply any updates and click Save
Deleting a Loan Fee Type
To delete a Loan Fee Type, follow these steps:
1. Select the appropriate Loan Type from the dropdown
2. Highlight the Fee Code you would like to delete
3. Click "Delete":
4. Select "Yes" to delete or "No" to return to the maintenance screen:
