Overview of NA302UPD

The Process Maintenance screen allows you to work with the process that is attached to the record. This does NOT modify the Process Template. This affects only the version of the process attached to this particular record.


When you first arrive on the Process Maintenance screen, you will see something like this:

Adding a New Step

To add a new step to this process, click the New button on the toolbar. The screen will look like this:

The following fields are available on this screen:


Field Description
Step title Enter the title of the step
Description Alphanumeric description of the step
Start date Enter the date in mm/dd/yyyy format or click the calendar icon to select the date
Finish date Enter the date in mm/dd/yyyy format or click the calendar icon to select the date
Notes If desired, enter any notes on the step that you wish to record
Assigned to Enter the user ID or click the list icon to select the user that this step is to be assigned to


When you have entered the information, click Save to retain the changes.


Editing an Existing Step

To edit an existing step, you can double-click it or click it once to highlight it and then click the Edit button on the toolbar. Title, process owner, expected results, category, class, and description can be edited. Make your desired changes and click Save when you have finished.

NOTE: If you change the process owner, uncompleted steps assigned to the old owner can be automatically assigned to the new owner.


Deleting a Step

To delete a step, click it once to highlight and then click the Delete button on the toolbar (NOT the Delete Process button). This option is only available for process steps that have been flagged as being eligible for deletion on the Process Template Maintenance screen.

To remove a process from a record, click the Delete Process button on the toolbar. You will only be able to perform this function if your security for Process Management is set properly. If the Process has been started, you will receive a warning similar to this one:

Actions

If you click a step and then click the Actions button, you will see these options:

You can start, complete, skip or reopen a step using the Actions button

When you click on a step, the Step Info tab shows the following information:

Click on a step, and then click the Step Attachments tab. You will see this screen:

On this screen, you can add, view or delete attachments for the step.
