If one of your constituents is attempting to register online and continues to get a server error, it could be the result of their internet explorer version

If your constituents are attempting to register for Online-CEF access:

And are reporting the following error:

It could be the version of Internet Explorer they are using. If they are not sure, you can ask them to check by clicking the ? icon in Internet Explorer and selecting "About Internet Explorer":

This will display their version:

If your constituent is on version 10, have them do the following:


  • Go back to internet explorer, then navigate back to the “REGISTER” page, and then press F12:


NOTE: If your user is on a laptop, have them press their Function (FN) key before pressing F12. Otherwise, their wireless connection may be disconnected

  • Ask them to click Browse Mode
  • Select Internet Explorer 9:

  • Press F12 again
  • Complete the registration process
