Financial System Settings
Overview of IL01
The Financial System Settings screen controls certain base functionality that is shared across the Investment and Loan systems. This includes the base account used for generating payments from the investment and loan systems, allowing effective dating of transactions, and other settings. To access the screen:
- From the DDI Connect main menu, double-click Financial Services
- Double-click Data Processing
- Double-click Financial Services Administration
- Double-click Financial System Settings. You will see this screen:
There are two tabs on this screen - General and Accounts
General Tab
The fields on this screen do not activate until you click the Edit button on the toolbar. You can then make changes to the settings:
You have these options:
Field | Description |
---|---|
GL Posting Method | Your options for this field are: Online (Posts immediately to the GL), Batch (posts only when FW20 Post Transactions to G/L is run) or Queue (which posts through the queue processor) |
Post Cash Items to GL | If selected, cash items associated with investments and loans will post to the general ledger |
Review Cash Items | Example |
Allow Effective Dating | If this is selected, users will be able to effective date transactions in the Investment and Loan systems |
Click the Accounts tab
Accounts Tab
On this screen, you can define the checking account and form code for certain investment and loan accounts. The accounts established on this screen will be used when financial transactions are performed in the Investment and Loan systems. To edit an item, click on it to highlight and then click the Edit button on the toolbar. The fields will become active:
You have these options:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Checking Account | Click the drop down arrow to select from a list of checking accounts in the system. For information on setting up a new checking account, please reference this page: Checking Account Setup. The GL account will automatically update based on the checking account selected |
Form Code | Click the drop down arrow to select the check form code to associate with the selected account. These form codes are configured by DDI, so if a new form is needed, please contact DDI Support for assistance |
When you have finished making your changes, click Save.
