Is it possible for us to prevent users from approving their own journals in FundWriter?

Yes it is. The security function that controls this ability is FWAPPROWN. First, modify the function within Security maintenance and establish a security level. For example, you may want to set it at !FW/8, which would mean that ONLY users with a security level of 8 or higher for the FW function would be able to approve their own journals.

Next, if applicable, you would add the FWAPPROWN security function to the users who should be able to approve their own journals. This is performed within User Maintenance.
